Betty S. Miksik, 69, of Roscoe died on Sunday, December 29, 2013 in her home. She was born on September 16, 1944 in Cass Lake, MN, daughter of Lloyd and Bernice Nelson. United in marriage to Robert P. Miksik on September 17, 1967 in Cass Lake, MN. Betty was employed at Hand in Hand Childcare Center and was formerly employed at Concordia Lutheran School. She was a member of Heartland Community Church. Survived by children, Correnna (Randy Stowell) Nelson, of Rockford, Jeffery Miksik of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Jason Marine of Rockford, Jordan (Megan Montana) Marine of Loves Park; great-granddaughter Ava Rose Montana of Loves Park; siblings, Cheryl (Jerry) Lemke, Lonnie (Vicky) Nelson, and Lloyd Nelson Jr. Preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Miksik in 1969, parents, and husband Robert. A Celebration of Betty's Life will be Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with a luncheon immediately following the service at Heartland Community Church, 1280 South Alpine Rd. Rockford.
