Betty Lou Carlson, 88
Betty Lou Carlson died April 10, 2015 at Neighbors Rehabilitation Center in Byron. Born to Ollie and Josie Gilroy Cable on March 8, 1927, she grew up in Dixon. Betty married Bobby Carlson April 10, 1948. While raising a family, she worked at Mueller's Studio developing school pictures, and was a bookkeeper for many years at Illinois Water Treatment. After retiring, she continued volunteering with SCORE, Crusader Clinic, and Salem Lutheran Church. Always with a smile. Predeceased by her parents and husband. Remaining, to carry her spirit forward, are her sister Linda (Dave); her children: Kathy, Daryl (Alice), and Gary (Lynn); her grandchildren: JR, Sarah (Kathleen), Owen, and Hannah; and many relatives and friends in this area and out in California. Memorial Service will be held April 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 1340 S. Alpine Rd. Rockford – at Colonial Village.
