Barbara Jean Ness, 87, of South Beloit died on June 19, 2018. Born March 4, 1931 in Rockford, daughter of Steven and Frida (Steig) Ryan. Barbara was the former co-owner of Indian Village in Byron, East End in Stillman Valley, and Barb's Health Hut in Oregon. She worked as a Dispatcher for the Ogle County Sheriff prior to her retirement. Survived by her children, Steven Case, Richard (Teri) Case, Nancy (Bruce) Renwick; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Barbara's family is grateful to the staff of Fair Oaks Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in South Beloit for the compassionate care they provided. Celebration of life at a later date.
