Barbara Ann Mullen, 68 of Rockford died on February 7, 2011 at 2:15 p.m. Barbara was born on July 10, 1942 in Freeport, daughter of Levan and Delores Frank. United in Marriage to Everett Mullen Jr. on December 9, 1957 in Pecatonica. Barbara loved to play the lotto and bingo. She enjoyed spending time with her children, and their families. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she went overboard decorating the house. She was an excellent cook who made delicious stuffing, bread and butter pickles and chocolate pie. She collected Princess Diana memorabilia, and loved Elvis. Some of Barbara's greatest times were spent fishing with her husband, and hunting for bargains. Barbara is survived by her mother; children, Teresa (Michael) Spitzer formerly of Rockford, Rodney (Candy) Mullen, Tami (Larry) Ritter, Kimberly (Jim) Owen, all of Rockford, Christine (Mike) Hedrick of Loves Park; 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; sister, Diane (Walt) Linkfield of Las Vegas, NV. Predeceased by her father, and husband. A Celebration of Barbara's life will be on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Journey Church, 7801 Forest Hills Rd. Machesney Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
