Barbara S. Atwood, 83, of Aventura, FL; formerly of Rockton died on January 20, 2022. Born April 21, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI; daughter of Melvin and Ida (Bines) Flath. Barbara graduated from Riverside High School in Milwaukee, WI; class of 1956. United in marriage to John Atwood. She was a successful real estate investor, and self-made businesswoman. Barb was always a consistent part of her family's lives, she loved them unconditionally and took great care of her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved both domestic and international travel and served on the board of the yacht club in Aventura, FL. Survived by best friend, Dixon Gunderson; daughter; Debra (John) Labelle; grandchildren, Paul Gunderson, Craig (Tara Burton) Pfaff, Jessica (Justin Nightswonger) Klinkhammer; great-grandchildren, Lillian Pfaff, Jacob Klinkhammer, Juniper Nightswonger; sisters; Sally and Susie. Preceded in death by her husband; daughter; Bonnie Hawes; son, David Hawes; sister, Dolly Flath. Visitation Friday, January 28, 2022 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N.
