B. JoAnn Hayes, 92, of Rockford died March 15, 2022. Born September 8, 1929 in Osceola, IA; daughter of Lloyd and Margaret (Blackburn) Harris. Graduate of East High School in Des Moines, IA, class of 1948. United in marriage to Gilbert Hayes on July 11, 1974 in Oregon, IL. Retired from National Lock, where she was employed as a payroll processor. JoAnn enjoyed traveling and camping with Gilbert in their RV, and spending time as a snowbird in Florida in Ft. Meyers Beach. She loved to play bingo and card games with her friends at Independence Village. JoAnn was a member of TOPS for many years, a 50 year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign wars. Member of First Presbyterian Church and the Wild and Crazy Chicks of Centralia. Survived by children; Jayne (Fred) Grant Jr., Jeri (Marshall) Dedrick, Jana Funderburk, Kimberly (Jeff) Ehrhart, Douglas (Lisa Stevens) Hayes; grandchildren, Fred (Alison) Grant III, Erin (Bryan) Beil, Adam Grant, Paige Grant, Keri (Stuart) Bailey, Lora (Manny) Negrete, Matt (Rachel) Ehrhart, Sara (Adam) Harris, Joshua Hayes, Sean Hayes, great-grandchildren; Dyllin Grant, Peytin Grant, Brooke Beil, Grant Beil, Ahren Grant, Parker Grant, Aleyah Bailey, Brielle Bailey, Gabriella Negrete, Liviana Negrete, Cruz Negrete, Madelyn Ehrhart, Hannah Ehrhart, Emily Williams, Samuel Harris, Sawyer Harris, Cooper Smith, Keaton Smith, and Piper Smith; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and sister-in law, Eugene and Lorraine Harris. Private family inurnment at Hillcrest Lakeside Mausoleum at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia.
