Annetta Jean (Magin) Renstrom, 84, of Rockford died on May 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Rockford. Born January 22, 1930 in Rockford, daughter of Louis and Laura (Ridgeway) Magin. Annetta was the sixth of thirteen children, caring for and loving her siblings. When she was a child, she worked in her father's hardware store, helping serve customers and doing bookkeeping when she was older and able to accept more responsibility. Annetta attended West High, and graduated from Hayward High School in Wisconsin. She retired after 35 years of service at Rockford Spring, where she handled accounts receivable. She was known at the company for her meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to balance accounts down to the penny. Annetta was truly devoted to her entire family, in her younger years she enjoyed spending time with her siblings and their young families. She was a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, treasuring the moments she had with her extended family. If anyone in her family needed her, she was there for them. She enjoyed being in her yard feeding her birds, rabbits and squirrels and occasional gambling trips with her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love and caring that her family will always treasure. Survived by her son, Mike (Pam) Renstrom; grandchildren, Michael (Brenna Clancy) Renstrom, Marisa (Logan) Hautamaki, Brienne (Ryan) Kennedy; 5 great-grandchildren, all of Rockford; sister Saramae Parrott; brothers, Tom (Janet) Magin, Lyle "Jack" Magin; special niece, Mary Lou Shumaker; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her infant sister, Mary Lou Magin, and siblings, Marlyn Barrickman, Janell L. Mace, Donna Lee Swenson, George Magin, William Joseph Magin, Louis "Junior" Magin, Carroll Magin, Joyce Lowery. Memorial Service on May 31, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 1340 South Alpine Rd. Rockford. Chaplain Ed Greenfield of OSF Hospice will officiate.
