Anna Marie Field, 100, of Rockford died April 17, 2013 at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center. She was born on November 13, 1912 in Baton Rouge, LA, daughter of Salvatore and Norfria Perone. She was the seventh of their nine children and was the last surviving sibling. Anna moved to Rockford at an early age and resided here her entire life. Married Thomas Licari in 1934, he preceded her in death. Married Benjamin Field in 1963, he also preceded her in death. Anna owned & managed several local restaurants during her career and was famous for her pastas, pies, and Italian cookies. Anna was a loving, kind, and caring lady who always saw the good side of things & people. She always had a smile (except in pictures). Wonderful mother to Nick (Margo) Licari & Greg Field; Wonderful Grandmother of Nick (Stacy) Licari Jr., Valerie (John) Licari-Thomas, and Kyle & Kevin Field. We were very fortunate to have her with us for a long, long time and she will always be greatly missed and very lovingly remembered. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on April 23, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson Street. Rev. James Ciaramitaro will officiate.
