Ann Miriam Evans, 65 of Des Moines, IA died on June 7, 2016 in South Beloit, IL in Fair Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born on April 18, 1951 in Sheldon, IA. Daughter of Harold and Wilhelmina (Brower) Evans. Graduate of Sheldon High School. Annie obtained her Bachelor Degree from University of Northern Iowa. She was a member of Stover Memorial Church of the Brethren. Annie retired from Wesley Acres, where she was employed as a Resident Assistant. Annie was a loving and gentle soul, who impacted the lives of her family, friends and the residents of Wesley Acres. Survived by her sister, Jane (Michael) McNames of Caledonia, IL; niece, Beth (Jim) Rife of Roscoe, IL; nephew, Matt McNames of Caledonia, IL; great-nephew, Drew Rife of Mesa, AZ; great-niece and God daughter, Audrey Rife of Milwaukee, WI; and a large circle of loving and devoted friends. Preceded in death by her infant brother; parents, and sister, Mary Wille.
A Celebration of Ann's life will be on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Wesley Acres, 3520 Grand Ave. Des Moines, IA. Private interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Matlock, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Des Moines Area Religious Council, 1435 Mulberry St., Des Moines, IA 50309. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, Rockford, IL assisted the family.
