Anita Marie Hogan, 80, of Rockford, IL, died on April 16, 2021, after a short illness with her family by her side. Born November 19, 1940, in Rockford, IL, daughter of William and Mable (Anderson) Lindberg. After 33 years with MTE Hydraulics, Anita finally enjoyed all the perks of retirement. When she wasn't quilting, she always had either a book or another needlework project in her hands. She loved to travel and did so often with family and friends. She was a long-time member of a bridge club and met monthly with the "Dirt Group" (as in "older than dirt"), her grade school friends. She is survived by daughters, Colleen (Blayne) Bodvig of Shellsburg, IA, and Cathleen (Dave) Hagmann of Cherry Valley, IL; grandchildren, Alex Rieger of Oshkosh, WI, Kristen Rieger and Zachary Rieger both of Cherry Valley, IL; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Rieger of Cherry Valley, IL and Hayden Rieger of Oshkosh, WI; and brother, Karl (MaryAnn) Lindberg of New Orleans, LA. Per her wishes, no services will be held. Donations in Anita's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association ( https://act.alz.org/donate ).
