Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother

Angeline Mary Maggio passed away on the same date as her loving husband, November 14th. She was born January 11, 1922, in West Virginia to Romeo and Amelia Potenziani. Married Christopher Anthony Maggio in a ceremony at St. Anthony's Church. They owned small businesses and in her retirement years; she volunteered at Lifescape and was known as the "Sunshine Girl." She was famous for her fabulous Italian food. Survived by son, Carl (Jackie) Maggio, and daughters, Stella Dobbins and Judy Fisher; grandchildren, Chris (Judy) Maggio, Frampton (Elgin) Maggio, Seth Goodman Dobbins, Stephanie Mathews, Angeline E. Maggio, Shelley Thames, Shane Dupree; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Bailey, Ashley, Carl Anthony, Frampton, Amelia, Noah; special sister-in-law, Janet (Phillip) Maggio; cousins, Joan (Richard) Lazzerini and Holly (Jay) Mathur. Preceded in death by her husband, Carl in 1999; sister, Mary Rackley; brother-in-law, Edgar Cox; brother, Andrew Potenziani and sister-in-law Ann (Cuppini). Memorial Mass on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Cathedral of St. Peter, 1243 N. Church Street Rockford. Father Stephen St. Jules will officiate. Memorial visitation at 9 a.m. until the time of service. Cremation rites accorded. Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in the spring. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family.
