Amy Luann Adams, 37, of Stillman Valley went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 10, 2013 at 8:40 p.m. She was born on October 15, 1975 in Rockford, daughter of Kevin and Barbara (Persson) Adams. Graduate of Stillman Valley High School, class of 1993. Amy fought a long and courageous battle with breast cancer with grace and dignity. She beat her cancer diagnosis three times, twice here on earth and is now experiencing healing beyond human understanding in heaven. She was spirited and outgoing, spending time cultivating her relationships with friends. She was united in marriage to Tim Bucey on April 24, 1999, together they have a daughter, Brooke Noel. On March 30, 2006 Amy married Eric Vinger, together they have a son, Colton Oneill. Amy was formerly employed at OBGYN Associates and most recently at Pediatric Associates. Amy was a member of Heartland Community Church, where she was baptized on June 28, 2009. She volunteered in the Launch Ministry, where she enjoyed spending time with children. She is survived by her children, Brooke and Colton; parents, Kevin and Barb Adams; siblings, Nicole and Jacob Adams; grandparents, DeWayne and Marilyn Adams; Aunt, Nancy Adams; cousins, Adam, Sarah, Alyssa; Great-Aunt and Great-Uncle, Harold and Geraldine Voy; special friend, Paul Sulser; her "Breast Friends" and "Amy's Angels", as well as a ton of friends too numerous to mention by name. A Celebration of Amy's life will be Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Heartland Community Church, 1280 South Alpine Rd. Rockford. Memorial visitation at 10 a.m. until the time of service. Additional memorial visitation on Monday, September 16th from 6-8 p.m. at Heartland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, for a trust fund to be established for her children.
