Amanda Noelle Hammack-Garrison, 47, of Rockford entered into eternal peace on July 23, 2022, due to an overdose after a long and courageous battle with addiction. While we are deeply saddened to see her go, we are relieved that her struggle has ended and she is now at peace. Born May 9, 1975 in Rockford; daughter of Frank Hammack and Kim (Edwards) Ford. Graduate of Rockford Lutheran High School, class of 1993. Amanda loved God, her daughters and her circle of family and friends. Amanda was a huge fan of the musician, Prince. She also loved everything related to Halloween; the costumes, the decorations, visits to Spirit Halloween Store and haunted houses. The loss of Amanda leaves a huge void in the lives of all who loved and knew her. Survived by her mother and step-father, Kim and Glen Ford; father, Frank Hammack; children, Taylor (Madalyn) Waller, Emily Garrison; siblings, Leah (Mitch) Micek, Glendia (John) Strandin, Guy (Michelle) Ford; maternal grandfather, Roland Edwards; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Patricia Edwards; paternal grandparents, Glen and June Hammack; and Aunt Kristine Zaugg. Visitation Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 11 am to noon at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N. Main St. Rockford; followed by a funeral service at noon. Pastor Dean Parker will officate.
