Alyx Christina Nilsen, 22, of Machesney Park died on Sunday, May 26, 2013. She was born on June 15, 1990 at home in Loves Park. Daughter of Martin "Chris" and Patricia (Pikanin) Nilsen. Attended Guilford High School, graduate of Roosevelt High School. She is survived by her children, Jacob W. Vogan, Jayde M. Vogan; father, Martin "Chris" Nilsen of Machesney Park; siblings, David A. (Jennifer) Sexton, Cory S. Sexton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by her mother, Patricia. A Celebration of Alyx's life will be on June 3, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Heartland Community Church, 1280 South Alpine Rd. Rockford. Pastor Gordy Smith will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alyx's family. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
