Alice O. Rodriguez, 65, of Rockford died on January 29, 2015 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 18, 1949 in Rockford daughter of Louise Barbara Eberly. Alice is survived by her children, Amanda (Carlos) Martinez, Erin (Ramiro Cano) Alvarado, Daryle Scott, Jesus Rodriguez; grandchildren, Mikey, Breanna, Johnny, Lexy and Elias; brother, Robert (Tammy) Harter; nephew, Dustin Harter; numerous cousins; God daughters, Kimmy Bailey, Tanya Tanner-Marquez; friends and beloved dog, Penny. Preceded in death by her mother; sister, Robin Harter and God son Anthony De Lao. Alice loved her family with her entire heart. She was an opinionated, spirited woman, who put the needs of her family above others. She was a great mentor to her children and son-in-laws, and devoted to her grandchildren. She could be found playing the poker game, Tripoley with her friends and family; on camping trips; on numerous trips to resale shops, or gabbing at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee. Alice was a skilled seamstress. She loved spending time with her extended family at annual reunions. Visitation on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 1340 South Alpine Rd. Rockford – at Colonial Village. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at St. James Catholic Church, 28 North 2nd Street, Rockford, at 11 a.m. Visitation at 10 a.m. until the time of service.
