Survived by his wife, June; sons, Steven (Carrie) Schmidt of Stillman Valley, Osmar (Bessie) Baltodano of Virginia, daughter-in-law, Debbie Schmidt of Pecatonica; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his son, Larry A. Schmidt. Cremation rites will be accorded. Private graveside services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
