Alberto Gomez, 56, of Rockford died on September 30, 2020. Born in Mexico City, Mexico. United in marriage to his soulmate Janelle Thomas on August 31, 2015. He was employed at Alvarez Mexican Restaurant in Cherry Valley. Alberto was a loving, kind and caring man, with a gentle and good heart. He was Janelle's best friend, and the constant in her life. Alberto enjoyed cooking wonderful meals and spending quality time with his family. Survived by his wife, Janelle; grandson, Tegan Warlop; and several siblings. Alberto's family is grateful to the physicians, nurses and support staff for their loving care. Cremation rites will be accorded. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family.
