Lola V. Johnson, 90, of Rockford died May 29, 2022. Born February 4, 1932 in Rockford; daughter of Helge and Ebba (Nyberg) Olofson. Graduate of Rockford East High School. United in marriage to Bert Robert Johnson on February 16, 1953. Lola was formerly employed as a sales associate at Bolender's Jewelry Store. In her retirement years, she worked at the food court at Cherry Vale Mall until her mid 80's. Member of Alpine Lutheran Church. Lola was an excellent cook. She enjoyed entertaining and bringing her family together to celebrate moments, both big and small. Lola was warm and welcoming whenever her children brought friends or their partners over for family meals. She enjoyed playing golf, crocheting and gardening. Survived by her children; Gail (Dan) McConnell, Neal (Peggy) Johnson, Todd (Lori) Johnson, Lane (Linda) Johnson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and caregiver, Vicki at CherryVale Place. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Lloyd and sister, MaryAnn. Memorial Visitation on June 11, 2022 from 10 am to 11 am, followed by a celebration of Lola's life at 11 am at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N. Main St . Rockford.
