Lisa G. Tate

January 9, 1964 - December 22, 2021

God has gained another angel December 22, 2021. Our mother Lisa G. Tate was called home to be with her Heavenly Father. She will be greeted at the gates by her father, Calvin Tate Sr. and her mother, Gay (Fletcher) Tate; brothers, Mark Tate, Terry Tate and cousin; who was her partner in crime, Vicki Fletcher. All have been reunited in heaven. Our mother was one of a kind. She liked the outdoors, she loved to travel, she also loved to go shopping and she loved to eat. If the food was to her liking, it was "the bomb good." She was the life of the party, very educated and took pride in her strong work ethic. She was our role model. She just lit up the room with that smiling face of hers. She will be truly missed and her legacy will continue with her children; Alisha (Anthony) Holliman, LaShaunda (David Gantt) Miller-Tate Kory(Nikki) Tate, Richard (T’onna Robbin) Sturdivant, Breana Sturdivant; special niece whom is like a daughter to her, Donita Tennial. Lisa also leaves behind husband of 25 years, Henry Box; 22 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; step-father, J.C. Criss; sister, Calvetta (Sidney) Pope; brothers, Calvin (Tina) Tate, Chris Tate; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and her childhood friends; Laurie Weddington, Pamela Wilkins and Dora Austin. Visitation February 3, 2022 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services; 4301 N Main St. Rockford; followed by a repast at 3445 N. Main St. Rockford.
