Helen M. Rosenberger

December 6, 1923 - January 10, 2015

Helen M. Rosenberger, of Rockton, IL, formerly of Skokie and Rockford, IL was born on December 6, 1923, in Toledo, OH, and entered eternal life on January 10, 2015. She graduated from St. Ursula Academy (Ursuline Sisters), Mary Manse College, and Northwestern graduate school. Helen was employed for 38 years in the Research Department of A.B. Dick Co., as a chemist and section manager of various groups. She was also responsible for assisting in the proper labeling of hazardous materials and the preparation of material safety data sheets for all company products. After retirement, she was active in the Greenbriar Camera Club in Chicago (1960’s). She founded, operated and developed Creative Products, a supplier of Featherweight mailers for exhibiting photographs. An active exhibitor in the Photographic Society of America national and international photo salons, she was a four-star exhibitor. In Rockford, Helen was an active member of Holy Family Parish, and on the Board of Directors at the Knights Community Complex. After moving to Rockton, she was elected a Village Trustee (1997-99) and joined St. Peter Parish in South Beloit. She was instrumental in the start-up of Rockton Seniors Bus Transportation, a volunteer group to assist stateline seniors with their shopping and other needs. As President of this organization, she worked tirelessly to obtain grants and funding. Helen was an avid golfer and gardener. Survivors include her dear friend of many years, Esther Schenck, many friends from the Rockton/Rockford communities and her family at St. Peter Church. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Catholic Church, 620 Blackhawk Blvd. South Beloit, Thursday, January 22, 2015 11:00 a.m., visitation at the Church from 9-10:45 a.m. Interment in Floral Lawns.
