Beverly "Bee" Jarl

Went to be with the Lord Beverly “Bee” Jarl, 72 of Rockford went to heaven on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 7:20 a.m. surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness. Bee was born on March 22, 1939 in Belvidere, daughter of Ronald Meyers and Verna Doud. United in Marriage to Maynard Jarl on January 5, 1957. Bee enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of her favorite activities was taking car rides on country roads with her husband. She was an avid collector of bumblebees and loved Elvis. Earlier in her life, she attended Elim Baptist, where she participated in GMG. Bee also volunteered as a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. She loved reading books, especially mysteries, and enjoyed doing crafts. She took the time to maintain her appearance, often forgoing comfort for style. She is survived by the love of her life; children, Judy (Jay) Stover, Carla Nipps, Pam (Kevin) Flickinger, Xandra (Butch) Stockon; grandchildren, Jason, Zandra, Justin, Bryan, Jake, Michael; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brayden, Gabriella, Evan; sister, Marilyn Gilman of South Bend, Indiana; half sister, Mary Dion of Missouri; half brother, Charles Meyers of Beloit; numerous nieces and nephews; best friend who was born the same day, Ebba Fewell; very special waitress, India Blade; spoiled cat, Flicka. Bee’s family extends a special thanks to VNA Hospice, and Heather, Vicky and Brenda for their services. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 1340 South Alpine Rd. Rockford, with visitation at 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Larry Pauley will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded. Interment in Arlington Memorial Park.
