The Dead In Christ Shall Rise First. Allen Roland Holecek, 75, of Rockton went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 11, 2019. Born on September 30, 1944 in Berwyn, IL; son of Roland and Sophia (Antczak) Holecek. Allen enlisted in the Air Force in 1963 and served four years as an Air Defense Computer Programmer with NORAD. United in marriage to Doris Peterson on February 3,1967 in Duluth, MN. Allen was the owner of Creative Control Systems. Member of Heritage Baptist Church, Beloit Rifle Club, and an avid HAM radio operator (W9MX). Allen had a pilot’s license and enjoyed tending to his wooded acres. Survived by his wife, Doris; children, Thomas (Angela) Holecek of Dayton, OH and Ruth (Gary) Hodges Lash of Ada, MI; grandchildren, Elisabeth Hodges Lash, Jonathan Hodges Lash, Andrew Lash, James Lash, Alexander Holecek, and Christopher Holecek; siblings, Irene Evers of Dover, DE and Joan Briscoe of West Linn, OR; special work partners Phillip Mills of Savanna and Randy Scott of Rockford; and many missionaries around the world. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Hank Evers and Bill Briscoe; and son-in-law David Hodges. A special thank you Dr. Korkmaz and staff for 16 years of exceptional care. Also thank you to Rebecca and the many caregivers of the OSF Hospice team. Visitation at noon on December 16 at Heritage Baptist Church, 12484 Willowbrook Rd. Roscoe, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment in Shirland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Mission Special Fund at the church in his memory may be made.
